This has been quite bad.
I have been missing in action a lot. This was due to a hard drive failure, and my laptop being out of action for a week, as well as downloading everything back on to it which took days (the amount of adobe and autodesk stuff I needed to redownload was brutal).
However, I am planning to scan my sketchbooks later tonight so expect more blog posts soon.
This exercise was to get us used to texturing (which didn’t make sense to me till actually a few weeks a go after texturing quite a few projects). It’s pretty basic, but it’s the basics that I’m learning at the minute.
After Fiargo, I realised how much I missed digital painting. Here is another quick whip up of Tramp from Lady and The Tramp. I don’t believe that Tramp gets enough love.

A quick drawing of Figaro from Pinocchio. This is just to get used to using the tablet and to get back in to digital painting. It is a bit rough but I have not done much digital painting since April-May earlier this year.
A screenshot from the very first exercise we had to do at the start of the year. It was a low poly church. Our tutor said this would help us not seem so overwhelmed by the program (that failed), and which helped us get used to the program (which failed again), where everything is as in tool wise and what everything did (and that failed too surprisingly).
So what actually happened when we got given our first task, was begged our third years to show us the ropes, which they did.
Now, this is someone easy and I can do in a few minutes, but back then it took me the majority of the afternoon.
3ds Max
3ds Max is the software that I am using, and will continue on using on my course and my assignments. Now I have already made a stern enemy out of 3ds Max after never using it before till this October.
To get myself more comfortable with 3ds Max, I shall be going online through blackboard and going back through my tutor’s tutorials to help me grasp 3ds Max more. Prepare yourself for the renders!
Restarted this blog yet again. I will stop doing it once I reach about fifty posts! I apologise.
To start this off, I have three tumblrs, one is my personal, another is my pictureblog, and this one is for my course. I am in my first year studying Game Art Design at Leicester, De Montfort university.
This blog will be filled with my work, and possibly a lot of stuff which inspires me as well as other artist’s work. Expect me back mainly over the Christmas time where I shall upload all my work for everyone to see what my course is truly about.
Chow x
